The Hip Pickles Drum Band
A multi-dimensional, award winning Drum Band from Long Island, New York this group has been voted #1 Percussion Ensemble by the readers of Drum Magazine for the past 3 years. Their unique style of an exciting blend of drumming, singing, hip choreography, humor and “interactive” audience participation, has earned them the reputation as one of the “world’s most exciting Drum Bands.” Their “Team Drumming” melds the styles of Drum Set, World Percussion, Corps Percussion, Midi, and Latin. In addition to performing at five Percussive Arts Society International Conventions (PASIC), three Modern Drummer Festivals, two Montreal Drum Fests, and Rhythm Stix (UK), the group performs at Concerts, Music Festivals, Major Sporting Events, Corporate Meetings, Drum Clinics, Camps and School Arts-in-Education Programs. The group has performed on National TV shows, and is featured on the Larrie Londin Memorial Scholarship Video and the Modern Drummer Festival 2003 DVD.
